So what's up Lil'B?

Well, it's been quite some time since i got to blogging....last year was amazing, super busy and fun for Little Bark.

So first things first, this year is looking as busy as last! Argh! So if I don't blog often then you know why

Last year meant heaps of collaborations...
'Wind Up Bird' remix
I worked with Stef Animal who created an amazing remix of 'Wind Up Bird'. Which you can listen to and download here. It was on the radioactive top 10 for more ages! Stoked!

'Party' music video
I received NZ on Air funding to make a video for 'Party'. I worked with photographer John Lake, my sister, her partner and my best friend to make my homage to 80s teen culture. You can watch the video here. It got blogged about here.

'Party' Tone-E & Symptom Remix Club Edit
Well this went to no.2 on the Radioactive top 10. It was voted #25 on the top 50 songs of 2012. You can listen and download here.

Recorded two new singles at Emery Recording Studio's in Whanganui
'New York and the Dead' and 'For Lynn' were recorded with the band in Whanganui in August 2011. I have been working with Stef Animal to produce them.

I now refer to my music as Little Bark only, no more Sophie Burbery side. It's all Little Bark :)

So what ya been doing in 2012 then Little Bark?

Well I have almost finished writing my next album! I'm not going to say too much, but it's a soundtrack of sorts. So yeah, I've been full time on that pretty much...

Also working with the wonderful Stef Animal to finish 'For Lynn' and 'New York and The Dead'. They sound INCREDIBLE (if I can say that ;) and will be released in May 2012 with a really cool music vid. I'll keep you posted.

I recorded a cover of Al Green's (or Tina Turner if you prefer :) song 'Let's Stay Together' for a show called 'Puppet Fiction' (based on Pulp Fiction but with puppets) that's part of The Fringe Festival 2012. You can listen here.

I've also been working with artist Mica Still to create some new art work for Little Bark. Yah! She's choice!

And there are new remixes of 'I Want Your Love' and 'I Need a Shot' to greet your ears soon.

So there you go lovely ether of broadband and maybe even dial up still.

Much awesomeness to you!

Sophie
